                                              "3500" SERIES

                                     SPECIFICATIONS AND ORDERING DATA

FEATURES:

The P.E.C. "3500" Series Equipment is the group designed for a great number of applications in
which the initial investment must be kept at minimum without sacrifice of quality results in
picture or in sound, in locations principally other than permanent.

At practically no premium in cost compared to the lowest-priced, ordinary, portable equipments,
such outstanding features are afforded by the "3500"; accommodates and includes as standard equip-
ment Series II Coated Projection Lenses for greater light transmission; Rotary Sound Drum for
distortion-free, higher frequency scanning of sound track; easily accessible, durable, silent,
Chain Drive with resultant simplicity of maintenance; Unit Construction of projection and sound
head assemblies onto one sturdy mechanism plate with no alignment problems. The "3500" is
equipped with a dependable disk-type shutter and has a built-in A.C. Exciter Supply. Further, the
"3500" by comparatively simple field operations can be converted to:

            1. The Model "2810" Super XD Projector.
            2. The Model "10" Economy Theatre Projector.
            3. The projection of Cinemascope film with optical or with magnetic
               stereophonic sound.
            4. The projection of Vistavision non-anamorphic wide screen film.

In the "3500" are true versatility; minimum investment; design and performance field tested and
confirmed by customer acceptance of nearly 10,000 similar units over the past decade; and assur-
ance against obsolescence despite the current variance in projection and sound techniques.

The "3500" includes 1000 watt Mazda projection lamp, 2000 foot capacity feed magazine, pre-focused
exciter lamp, built-in A.C. exciter supply, photo-electric cell, tilting brackets, 2000 foot capa-
city take-up reel, power cable assembly, and sound cable assembly.

The P.E.C. Model "2804DA" Amplifier produces 20 watts of audio power at 2% distortion and is
perfectly matched to the "3500" through rugged, proved coaxial connectors. Similarly, connection
is made to 12815-16 speaker system through cables with polarized connectors, so that it is impos-
sible to make an incorrect connection. The "2804DA" provides inputs for one or two projectors,
for high impedance microphone, for high impedance record player, and for jacks for multiple opera-
tion in the event that additional power of a second "2804DA" should ever be required.

Controls consist of volume, high frequency tone, low frequency tone and photo-electric cell
voltage balancing. The "2804DA" is equipped with six tubes, all standard, low cost, easily-
obtainable types - see list of recommended spare parts and operating supplies on Page 8 and on
Page 9. The "2804DA" can be terminated in the following impedances for use with special or
existing speaker systems: 500, 16, 12, 8, 4 ohms.

Detachable polarized power cable is supplied with the "2804DA".

The versatility of the P.E.C. Model "3500" is matched by that of "2804DA" Amplifier, as the result
of the achievement of an unusual medium between quality design and cost. This model is complete
in itself, but its application may be expanded for multiple operation with another Model "2804DA"
Amplifier for additional power. Further, this Model "2804DA" lends itself perfectly to stereo-
phonic sound application with maximum economy.

The P.E.C. Model 12815-16 15" PM coaxial Speaker in enclosed bass reflex baffle is the final link
in this matched, sound projection system; the sound from the "2804DA" via the "12815-16" is an
unusual and pleasant listening experience. Construction of the baffle is rugged, being of 5-ply
wood, attractively finished, either suitable for back-screen location or for side-screen loca-
tion. The Model "12815-16" is furnished with a 100-foot speaker cable with polarized connectors
so as to make incorrect connection impossible. Receptacles are recessed to prevent damage in
transit, and an additional polarized outlet is furnished for future, multiple speaker operation.
