PAGE #17 "10" SERIES SPECIFICATIONS AND ORDERING DATA FEATURES: The P.E.C. "10" Series is the economy group, embodying all the excellent features of the basic, professional, theatre mechanism of the "2810" (See Page 11), but including the necessary accommo- dations for an arc-lamp light source; these additions are comprised of, principally, an adjustable heavy-duty cast base, arc-lamp support, built-in sound and picture changeover with built-in micro- switch, changeover button. Inter-projector wiring, requiring conduit in most installations, is kept to the minimum of four #14 conductors. The "10" will accommodate arc lamps up to 70 ampere capacity, producing a picture of excellent brilliance on a good, quality screen up to 25 feet in width. For maximum light transmission, the "10" utilizes f1.9 Series II, six element coated pro- jection lens. (See Lens Chart on Page 29 and Lens List on Page 14.) Arc lighting equipment appears in the picture on Page 16 for illustration purposes only and is not included in this prospectus; similarly with respect to the magnetic-stereophonic sound reproducer and to the anamorphic lens support. (See Conversions on Page 27.) As shown in the above mentioned illustration, the "10" is readily factory or field-convertible for the projection of Vistavision non-anamorphic film (1:1.85 ratio) and of Cinemascope film either with the optical sound track or with the four channel magnetic stereophonic sound tracks. (See Conversions on Pages 25 and 27.) The "10" thus comprises in the economy field a professional, dependable, equipment with the precision design, workmanship, and utility found in more costly projectors. The P.E.C. "2823DA" Amplifier, housed in an attractive streamlined metal cabinet, comprises a tried and true amplification design, affording 40 watts of audio power at 2% distortion, adequate for auditoriums seating 2,000 persons. Two complete amplification systems comprise the "2823DA", each of which is identical to the one used in the "2804DA" and in the "2820DA"; (See Pages 6 and 11) each channel may be operated separately from the other at 20 watts at 2% distortion, with the other to be utilized as emergency amplification; or through the simple use of a patch cable the two may function in parallel to produce 40 watts of audio power at 2% distortion, thus affording under all circumstances of operation a reserve preamplification section. A built-in monitor speaker is provided for each amplifier section. The "2823DA" is a most economical, practical, compact, but powerful amplification system - simply installed with the cable and connector assem- blies supplied. The overall dimensions are 10-1/2" x 19-1/2" x 22". (See Illustration on Page 16.) Three P.E.C. "12815-16" 15" PM coaxial speakers in enclosed bass-reflex baffles are recommended to match perfectly the output from the "2823DA" and also to accommodate the full 40 watt amplifier output with ample reserve speaker capacity. These three speakers, in addition to comprising matched, power-handling capacity for the "2823DA", afford an excellent sound-distribution pattern and, being individual systems, are readily adaptable to stereophonic application. (See Illustra- tion on Page 7 and Specifications on Page 6.) CONSERVATIVE APPLICATION: For the projection of 35mm motion picture film with conventional optical sound track, indoors or outdoors, when a picture of excellent brilliance, size 18.18' x 25' is adequate, dependent upon arc lighting equipment selected; amplification and speaker systems will accommodate the average auditorium seating up to 2,000 persons. ELECTRICAL POWER REQUIREMENTS FOR DUAL INSTALLATION: 115 Volt, 1 phase, 60 cycle current; Ideal: 2.5 K.V.A.; Minimum 1.2 K.V.A. "10" Series also available on special order for operation from: 115 Volt, 1 phase, 25 cycle current 115 Volt, 1 phase, 40 cycle current 115 Volt, 1 phase, 50 cycle current - Same price as for 60 cycle. Operation from 220 volt current requires a step-down transformer in accordance with the above frequencies and wattage. Arc lighting equipment, dependent upon type selected, requires up to 5 K.V.A. per lamp - pre- ferred: 220 volt, 3 phase, of required frequency; alternative: 220 volt, 1 phase, of required frequency.
