                                        "12000" SERIES

                                SPECIFICATIONS AND ORDERING DATA

FEATURES:

The P.E.C. "12000" Series Equipment is the DeLuxe Theatre Equipment group with many of the features
of the "10" Series, but with many, truly-integrated refinements which make the "12000" the deluxe
equipment it is, without peer and yet within an unbelievably reasonable and highly competitive
price range. These are its unique features:

        1. Streamlined, heavy duty, cast base with four leveling screws and lock nuts, with
built-in arc lamp rectifier relay switch, and with built-in carbon holders. (See
           illustration on Page 20.)

        2. Large tilting hand wheel for easy adjustment of projection angle.

        3. D.C. Exciter Supply, built-into base, thus minimizing exterior wiring.

        4. Famous, field-proved, unit-construction of projection and soundhead mechanisms
           for simplified installation and maintenance.

        5. Basic design is readily given to conversion for any of the new sound projection
techniques and for many specialized applications. (See Conversion Section, Pages
           25 and 28.)

        6. Rotary sound drum with fluid-damped flywheel for practically distortion-free scanning.

        7. Direct sound pick-up with no prisms or mirrors to clean or adjust - exciter to sound
lens to film to photo electric cell.

        8. Simplified silent chain drives make the "12000" easy to install, easy to use, easy to
           thread, and easy to service.

        9. All projector-operating controls are at convenient level and operable with the fingers
of one hand. The controls are the motor switch, the sound and picture changeover
microswitch button, the threading and framing lamp switch.

       10. Framing is accomplished by rotation of intermittent movement by framing knobs on
either side of the "12000" projector.

       11. Can accommodate all capacity arc lamps from 30 amperes to 90 amperes for the larger
           indoor and outdoor applications.

       12. Sound changeover is accomplished in A.C. side of the D.C. exciter supply rather than
in audio circuits, with absolutely no disturbance to sound reproduction.

       13. Highly polished, reflective heat baffle for reduced aperture temperatures.

       14. #12690 "Koolite" Blower available for field or factory conversion - for reduced
aperture temperatures, particularly when the higher amperage lamps are utilized.
           (See Page 24 "Conversions".)

       15. Heavy duty, precision focusing projection lens mount.

       16. Fool-proof chain driven take-up system.

       17. In the "12000" are all the elements essential to reliable motion picture sound pro-
jection, simply combined and well integrated, as can be concluded from the illustration
on Page 20. Design and production expense have been concentrated where they are
essential - not in combining an excessive series of dated and really unnecessary
           components.

NOTE: The arc lighting equipment, the magnetic sound reproducer and the anamorphic lens
support are not part of the standard "12000" equipment but are shown in the
illustration to emphasize the adaptability of the basic "12000" to any of the new
sound and projection techniques. (See Conversions on Page 28.)

The P.E.C. "12111" Pre-Amplifier mounts directly to the front of the "12000" projection mech-
anism, placing the volume control at the projectionist's fingertips and resulting in the
shortest possible coupling between the photo-electric cell and the first stage of amplification;
