CINEMASCOPE FILM UTILIZING FOUR MAGNETIC SOUND TRACKS - MODEL "12000" (See Page 20)

The following additional components are required to convert the "12000" group (Page 23) to ac-
commodate Cinemascope Film with four-channel stereophonic sound reproduction, including the
fourth channel, auditorium, effects speakers but exclusive of stage speaker equipment and arc
lighting equipment, which excepted items must be coordinated with the amplification systems and
with the projected picture width, respectively. In general, for a given light source and with a
screen of excellent quality and condition the projected picture width (1:2.55) may be increased
under optimum projection conditions by 25% over the conventionally allowed picture width of
1:1.33. In the event that the projected picture ratio of 1:2.55 is too severe the #2249UC .715"
x .715" aperture plate (1:2) may be specified, permitting a projected picture width increment of
 approximately 33-1/3% under optimum conditions.

        2 - # 2217C Cinemascope Film Feed Sprocket.
        2 - # 235C Cinemascope Film Intermittent Sprocket.
        4 - # 2191C Cinemascope Film Sprocket.
        2 - # 2249CM .679" x .906" Aperture Plate (1:2.55) or #2249UC .715" x .715" (1:2)
                        Aperture Plate.

 CUSTOM CONVERSIONS:
The basic and versatile P.E.C. 35mm Motion Picture Sound Projection Mechanism is given to many
special applications, too numerous to detail in this brochure; similarly, the amplification and
speaker equipments offer great versatility, so that the inevitably encountered compromises between
cost and ideal capacities are not deterrent to decisions favorable to P.E.C. equipment.
We invite you to bring to our attention any special applications of 35mm Motion Picture Sound Pro-
jection Equipment, upon which we shall be glad to have our Engineering Department pass.
